What is a food intolerance?

Food intolerance can be defined as a condition in which adverse effects occur after eating a particular food or ingredient. In most cases, a hypersensitive reaction occurs in response to a certain food.

Leaky Gut Syndrome

Leaky Gut Syndrome may contribute to the development of autoimmune diseases and allergic responses. Naturally, the intestine is permeable and allows the passage of substances into the bloodstream. However, damage to the membrane of the intestinal lining can cause the transfer of large molecules of undigested food into the bloodstream. The immune system identifies these as foreign pathogens and produces an allergic and inflammatory response.

What mushrooms have useful properties in food intolerance?

Did you know that 70% of your immune cells are located in the gut? Interestingly mushrooms can play a role not only in regenerating damaged cells in the digestive system but also support the to rebalance the immune system.

Lion’s mane

A natural prebiotic that protects the microbiota ( good bacteria)
High fiber content, this mushroom acts as a natural prebiotic able recover the friendly bacteria in our gut.  Several scientific studies show their benefits in regulating digestive issues including inflammation, reflux, allergies and food intolerances.

Reishi

Anti-inflammatory

Helps to calm down and balance the immune system
